Electronic lock and card reader

The right people, at the right doors, at the right time

SALTO electronic locks and access control for hotels, business buildings, healthcare facilities and industry, from a single door to a whole complex, without physical keys.

What you get

Access you manage, instead of keys you count

Every card, wristband or phone carries exactly the permissions it needs. A lost key no longer means changing locks, and you always know who entered and when.

01

Permissions by zone and time

You decide who enters, through which doors and when, for every person or group.

02

No physical keys

Cards, wristbands or a mobile phone; a lost credential is simply cancelled.

03

A record of every entry

A log of who passed where and when, with central management of users and doors.

04

Simple installation

Wireless electronic locks do not need cables to every door. There is less work and installation is faster, even in existing buildings.

Locks that fit any door

SALTO electronic locks are fitted to standard doors, in new and existing buildings. Readers at key points pass access permissions to cards and phones, so the system works as if it were networked, without cables to every lock.

Questions and answers

Key terms, clearly explained

What is access control?

Access control is a system that determines who can go through which doors and when. Instead of traditional keys it uses cards, wristbands or a mobile phone, and permissions are changed centrally.

How do wireless electronic locks work?

Wireless locks run on batteries and are fitted to doors without laying cables. Access permissions are carried by credentials and readers at key points, so the system works as if it were networked, without cables to every lock.

What if someone loses their card?

The lost card is cancelled in the system and the user gets a new one. No changing of locks or cylinders, as with a lost key.

Can a mobile phone be the key?

Yes. SALTO supports unlocking with a mobile phone, which is especially practical in hotels and for staff who work at several sites.

Can the locks be fitted to existing doors?

In most cases, yes. Electronic locks fit standard doors, and before making an offer we check the type of door and hardware on site.

Can the system connect with other systems in the building?

Yes. Access control can be connected with the hotel system, the network and other security systems, so every access point is managed from one environment.
